It was in December 2005, that "Haunted Yorkshire Paranormal Research" group was founded by Dawn Stead, whom had previously been involved, as "co-founder"of another mainstream paranormal group, also based in theYorkshire area.
Dawn completed four investigations with the other group, before deciding to branch out on her own, and create a new team, to be known as "HYPR"...
So by January 2006, HYPR were already out in the field, conducting the first of what was to become many investigations into the strange and the mysterious, within the Yorkshire area.
HYPR, had then, only 2 team members,....decided to conduct a recruiting drive...
So by the middle of 2006, HYPR had recruited another two people(Graham and Wendy Jenkinson) who were keen to join a group in their area, after they had completed several investigations with other groups from other areas of the UK.
Then, by the end of 2006, Joan, Dawn's mother, decided that she too wanted to be part of what was now becoming a busy team.....the team was now complete....and the investigations rolled in.
After three years of field work, in 2008, HYPR team members were over the moon, to be accepted into the T.A.P.S family, and became the Yorkshire representitives, on TAPS behalf.
To press, 2009 has seen HYPR throttle back on its commitments, due to personal circumstance....but some team members are still venturing out, doing their own investigations, in the Yorkshire area.....and as the saying goes, "watch this space"....
